It is a consecrated space where heaven and earth unite, a refuge from the storms of mortality, and a place where the Lord reveals His will to His covenant people. It is a manifestation of the Savior’s invitation to come unto Him and reflects the unfolding fulfillment of ancient prophecies across Africa. For the more than 80000 Latter Day Saints in the region, the dedication of this temple stands as a witness that God remembers His people and is pouring out spiritual blessings upon the nations. “And many people shall go and say Come ye and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord and He will teach us of His ways.” — Isaiah 2:3
