Bunge la Wanainchi: Arrest Gachagua Immediately Over 101 Squad Claims, Ethnic Incitement
By Bruno Aero
Bunge la Wanainchi has formally petitioned for the arrest of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, citing his recent remarks made during an official tour in the United States as dangerous, divisive, and a threat to national unity.
Speaking during a press conference, Bunge la Wanainchi National Chairman Lawrence Oyugi condemned Gachagua’s public claim that the Kenyan government had deployed a "101 squad of DCI officers" to spy on him. Oyugi demanded that Gachagua clarify the existence and intent of this so-called squad, which he alleges could be fabricated to provoke fear and mistrust among citizens.
“We are asking Gachagua to come clean on this '101 squad'. Who are they? What is their mission? And why is he making such claims on foreign soil?” posed Oyugi accompanied by his Binge la mwanaichi Attorney General Mr Komrade Bush speaking the press briefing
Mr Bush also told Gachagua is using his visit to the U.S. to tarnish Kenya’s global image by portraying the government as oppressive and ethnically biased, thereby inciting division and sowing seeds of discord among Kenyans.
“Instead of representing the interests of all Kenyans, he is abroad spreading propaganda, fueling tribal rhetoric, and damaging Kenya's international reputation,” Oyugi said.
Bunge la Wanainchi now demands that upon his return to the country, the Deputy President be arrested and investigated for incitement, ethnic profiling, and making statements that threaten public security and cohesion.
The group further called on Kenyans to reject divisive politics and unite in defending the integrity of national institutions.
