Luo Students Back President Ruto, Urge Community to Support Him

By Bruno Aero
A group of Luo students has thrown its weight behind President William Ruto, calling on the Luo community to support him and his government. In a statement, the students praised President Ruto for restoring hope to the Luo nation, citing several development projects initiated in the region.

The students criticized those opposing President Ruto, particularly Edwin Sifuna and Bonny Khalwale, for subjecting Luo leaders serving in the government to unnecessary ridicule. They urged the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to separate its affairs from the destiny of the Luo nation, emphasizing that the community's interests should come first.

"Ruto and his government are good for the Luo nation. Whatever issues other regions may have with him, Ruto is good for the Luo nation, and all politics is local."

The students appealed to the Luo community to stand with President Ruto and support his government, warning that pulling out of the Broad-Based Government would only divide the community.

This development comes as President Ruto continues to engage with various communities across the country. Recently, he was seen hosting Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga at the Piny Luo festival in Siaya County.
