NAIROBI, KENYA – Embakasi East MP Hon. Babu Owino has fired a strong warning to fellow opposition leaders against sidelining Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua, cautioning that such moves could fracture the coalition and weaken its push for change.

Speaking at a political gathering, Babu Owino emphasized that Kenya’s opposition movement cannot afford division and suspicion at a time when unity is most crucial. He said sidelining key allies who have stood with the struggle over the years risks alienating regions and communities that have remained loyal to the cause.

“Political coalitions thrive on mutual respect, compromise, and recognition of past sacrifices,” the youthful legislator remarked. “Dismissing leaders like Kalonzo and Karua at this stage could undermine the credibility of the opposition as a coalition of equals.”

Babu underscored that both Kalonzo and Karua have consistently carried the weight of opposition struggles, and ignoring their contributions would be a betrayal not just to them, but also to the millions of Kenyans who identify with their leadership.

He warned that any attempt to push them aside could erode public trust in the coalition, portraying it as one driven by personal ambition rather than the collective good.

“Our people expect us to offer a united front, not endless bickering. If we are to achieve the change we have long promised, we must treat each other with dignity and respect,” Babu concluded.

Known for his fiery speeches and fearless political style, Babu Owino has risen to become one of the most vocal defenders of the opposition. The youthful MP, a former student leader, has consistently championed issues affecting young people, education, and governance reforms. His sharp rhetoric and unrelenting push for accountability have earned him both loyal supporters and fierce critics. Despite controversy, Babu commands a strong following among urban youth, positioning himself as a bridge between Kenya’s seasoned political figures and the restless younger generation eager for transformation. His latest remarks underscore his growing influence within the opposition ranks.

As succession politics continue to take shape ahead of 2027, Babu Owino’s warning highlights the growing tension within the opposition, reminding leaders that the road to State House will require unity, strategy, and above all, respect for one another’s sacrifices
