Speaking during the press briefing held at Biblica House led by Dr Apostle Gedion Otieno emphasize through Pentecostal Voice of Kenya Association (PVK) has issued a statement marking three years since the Kenya Kwanza Administration took office. While acknowledging some successes, the association highlights several shortcomings and failures that warrant reflection. PVK focuses on six key issues central to the lives of Kenyans: cost of living, healthcare, affordable housing, education, and good governance.

Cost of Living and Economic Transformation
The PVK notes that the government's promise to grow the economy from the bottom up has not been fully realized. Despite initial measures to lower prices and stabilize the Kenyan Shilling, Kenyans are now facing high taxation and odious debt. The association calls on the administration to revisit its economic policies and prioritize the welfare of its citizens.

Healthcare Challenges

The PVK expresses concerns about the healthcare system, particularly the Social Health Authority (SHA) program. While acknowledging the need for reform, the association notes that the new system is plagued by inadequate funding, operational issues, and corruption. PVK calls on the government to ensure adequate funding, root out inefficiencies, and explore funding models that include those in the informal sector.

Affordable Housing and Education*

The PVK welcomes progress in affordable housing but raises concerns about transparency and accessibility. The association calls on the government to clarify how Kenyans will access and own these houses. In education, PVK highlights persistent challenges, including delays in school capitation, ghost schools, and unrest in schools. The association urges the government to manage the sector with care and diligence.

Good Governance and Accountability

The PVK expresses disappointment with the government's performance on good governance and administration. Despite promises to address corruption and abuse of public office, the association notes that things seem to have taken a turn for the worse. PVK calls on the administration to adhere to the Constitution and focus on addressing the issues facing Kenyans.

A Call to Action
The PVK urges leaders to stop paying lip service and turn words into action. With the next elections around the corner, the association reminds leaders that Kenyans will soon have a chance to hold them accountable. By prioritizing the welfare of its citizens and addressing the pressing issues, the government can regain public trust and confidence.
