The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has thanked voters in Emurua Dikirr Constituency, Porro Ward in Samburu County, and Endo Ward in Elgeyo Marakwet County for overwhelmingly supporting the party in the just-concluded by-elections.
In a statement released after the polls, the party said the victories demonstrate growing public confidence in UDA’s grassroots structures and the continued implementation of the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
UDA candidates recorded decisive wins across the three electoral areas, with David Kipsang Keter clinching the Emurua Dikirr parliamentary seat after garnering 18,266 votes. In Endo Ward, Festus Korir Kiprop emerged victorious with 4,475 votes, while Daniel Lolngojine secured the Porro Ward seat with 2,328 votes.
Speaking after the announcement of the results, UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan expressed gratitude to voters for their continued trust and support for the ruling party.
“It is with profound humility, on behalf of the Party, that I sincerely thank the voters for their unwavering belief in the Party. We do not take victories for granted,” said Hassan.
He noted that the outcomes reaffirm the party’s political strength and deep connection with wananchi at the grassroots level.
While addressing the media,
Hassan also reassured Kenyans that the government has put in place measures to guarantee continued fuel supply under the government-to-government (G-to-G) fuel importation framework despite global market uncertainties arising from the ongoing crisis in the Strait of Hormuz.
He revealed that the Government of Kenya has released KES 5 billion to stabilize pump prices and cushion consumers from further increases in fuel costs.
Also present during the briefing was UDA Director of Communication Nathaniel Mong’are alongside members of the party secretariat.
