Dr Imbunya has commended the growing collaboration between the public and private sectors, describing it as a key driver in improving service delivery and ensuring government services reach all Kenyans.
Speaking during the Africa Public Service Week celebrations, Dr. Imbunya said partnerships between government agencies and private stakeholders have significantly strengthened the country's ability to provide essential services, particularly to vulnerable and underserved communities.
She noted that public servants have gone beyond traditional office-based service delivery by actively engaging communities and taking government services directly to citizens living in informal settlements and marginalized areas.
"The celebration of public service reflects the strong partnership between the public and private sectors. We must continue working together to ensure efficient service delivery. We have traveled across slums and marginalized communities to make sure services reach every Kenyan," said Dr. Imbunya.
The Principal Secretary emphasized that inclusivity remains at the heart of the government's development agenda, adding that no Kenyan should be left behind in accessing public services regardless of their location or socio-economic status.
She praised public servants for their commitment and resilience in delivering services under challenging circumstances and called for greater collaboration to enhance innovation, efficiency, and responsiveness across government institutions.
Dr. Imbunya further urged stakeholders from both sectors to continue fostering partnerships that support citizen-centered service delivery and contribute to national development.
Africa Public Service Week is celebrated annually across the continent to recognize the contribution of public servants and promote effective, accountable, and transparent public administration. The event also serves as a platform for showcasing innovations and best practices aimed at improving service delivery and strengthening governance.
The celebrations brought together government officials, development partners, private sector representatives, and public servants who reaffirmed their commitment to building a more efficient and inclusive public service for all citizens.
