Interior PS Dr. Raymond Omollo Opens Induction Programme for Newly Appointed Deputy County Commissioners

Nairobi – Interior Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo has officially opened the induction programme for newly appointed Deputy County Commissioners 

At the Kenya School of Government (KSG), Lower Kabete, Nairobi.

Speaking during the opening session, Dr. Omollo described the induction as a strategic investment in strengthening the capacity of National Government Administrative Officers, who play a critical role in implementing government policies and programmes at the grassroots.

He emphasized that the training is designed to equip the newly appointed Deputy County Commissioners with the knowledge, leadership skills, and practical tools required to enhance service delivery, promote effective inter-agency collaboration, and uphold peace, security, and national cohesion across the country.

The Principal Secretary noted that Deputy County Commissioners remain central to the government's efforts to drive development, coordinate public services, and ensure that government initiatives effectively reach citizens in every part of Kenya.
Dr. Omollo urged the officers to uphold integrity, professionalism, and accountability in the discharge of their duties, stressing that effective public administration is essential to achieving the government's development agenda and improving the lives of Kenyans.
The induction programme forms part of the Ministry of Interior's ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacity of National Government Administrative Officers and enhance efficient, responsive, and people-centred service delivery nationwide.
