The Railway Training Institute (RTI) has celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026, with graduates urged to embrace integrity, professionalism and innovation as they transition into the workforce and take on their roles in society.

Addressing the graduands during the ceremony, Railway Training Institute Director, CHRP Asava Kadima, congratulated the graduates for successfully overcoming the challenges of academic preparation and personal growth, describing their achievement as a demonstration of resilience, discipline and commitment.

To the Class of 2026, you sit before me today not merely as students who have passed their examinations, but as individuals who have conquered the internal trials of rigorous preparation. You arrived at our gates with ambition, and today you depart with character. The certificates and diplomas you hold are not merely paper credentials, they are quiet contracts of trust between you and the society that awaits your labor,” said Kadima.
Kadima challenged the graduates to view their qualifications as a responsibility to contribute positively to the development of Kenya’s transport sector and the wider economy.
He emphasized that technical and professional skills acquired at RTI must be matched with ethical leadership, teamwork and a commitment to solving real-world challenges facing industries and communities.

The world you are entering requires more than academic qualifications. It requires creativity, adaptability, honesty and the courage to build solutions. Let your knowledge serve humanity and let your actions reflect the values you have gained during your time at this institution,” he added.

The graduation ceremony marked a significant milestone for students who have completed various programmes offered by the institution, which continues to play a critical role in developing skilled manpower for the railway, transport and logistics sectors.

The institute reaffirmed its commitment to equipping learners with relevant industry-driven skills that align with Kenya’s infrastructure development goals and the evolving demands of the modern workplace.
Graduates were encouraged to remain lifelong learners, embrace emerging technologies and uphold professionalism as ambassadors of RTI wherever their careers take them.
As you leave this institution, remember that your journey does not end here. Today marks the beginning of a greater responsibility  to innovate, to serve and to make a meaningful contribution to society, Kadima told the graduates.

The Class of 2026 joins thousands of RTI alumni who continue to support Kenya’s transport ecosystem and national development through their expertise and dedication.
