TVS Motor Launches Premium iQube Electric Scooter in Kenya, Marking Entry into African Market

NAIROBI, Kenya — August 8, 2026 — TVS Motor Company (TVSM), one of the world’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers, has launched its premium electric scooter, the TVS iQube, in Kenya, marking the company’s first entry into the African electric mobility market.

The launch underscores TVS Motor’s commitment to accelerating sustainable transport solutions globally while offering Kenyan consumers a cleaner, smarter and more cost-effective alternative for urban mobility.

The TVS iQube combines advanced electric vehicle technology, premium comfort, strong build quality and smart connectivity features designed for the modern city rider. The scooter is powered by a 4.6 kW hub-mounted motor, delivering a top speed of 82 km/h and acceleration from 0–40 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.
Available in two variants — TVS iQube 3.5 and TVS iQube 2.2 — the electric scooter offers real-world ranges of up to 115 kilometres and 75 kilometres respectively on a single charge. The models feature lithium-ion battery technology, waterproof protection systems and intelligent battery management systems for enhanced safety and reliability.
Through the TVS
 SMARTXONNECT™ platform, riders benefit from advanced navigation, telematics, anti-theft protection, geofencing, crash and fall alerts, smartphone connectivity and other digital features that enhance convenience and security.

The launch is supported by Car & General, TVS Motor’s long-standing partner in Kenya, which will provide sales and after-sales services through its established nationwide network.
