Wiper Unveils Women, Youth Manuals in Drive to Boost Grassroots Leadership

The Wiper Patriotic Front has launched new training manuals targeting women and young people as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots participation, leadership capacity and internal party structures.

Speaking during the launch, Wiper Patriotic Front Hon, Rose Museo Mumo Makueni Women Rep,  

Hon Museo Said the manuals would provide members with knowledge and skills necessary to enhance their participation in party activities and grassroots leadership.

“This is a defining step in our mission to build a competent, informed and empowered grassroots that is both inclusive and progressive,”

the training manuals are designed to provide a structured framework for empowering women and youth within the party with a focus on leadership development civic engagement organisational skills and effective participation at the grassroots level.

Party officials said the initiative seeks to create stronger and more inclusive grassroots structures by equipping members with practical knowledge to participate effectively in party affairs.

The focus on women and youth comes amid growing efforts by political parties to expand participation among younger members and women, who form a significant component of Kenya’s electorate and grassroots political structures.

Wiper said the manuals would also help strengthen communication, coordination and participation among its members as the party continues to expand its grassroots presence.

The launch comes as political parties across Kenya intensify grassroots engagement and organisational activities ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The initiative is expected to see the training materials rolled out to party structures across the country, providing women and youth members with a common framework for leadership and grassroots mobilisation
